Tuition and fees

The Interactive Media Program at the University of Miami is a 45 credit program. Tuition and fees vary from year to year. Please consult this page for current tuition rates.

Graduate assistants are assigned to a faculty member to provide support for projects, teaching, and/or administrative duties. A student receiving a full assistantship is required to work 20 hours under the supervision of their assigned faculty member. Students awarded full assistantships receive a tuition waiver for 12 credits per semester (9 credits in the 4th semester) and a monthly stipend (totaling up to $15,000 per academic year). Depending on available funding and the applicant pool, half and quarter assistantships are also available.

If you are interested in an assistantship, please indicate so when applying. As assistants, you will work with faculty on a wide range of projects. Therefore, your portfolio and past experience is important for highlighting the skills and talents you possess. Assistantships are available to both U.S. and international students. Assistantships will only be awarded to students meeting the priority deadline for admissions.
